In this help you can find few basic commands which you can use when you connect.
/nick -> changes your nickname
/whois <nick> -> shows basic informations about concrete nickname
/join <#channel> -> joins to specific channel on the server. Default autojoin channel is #chat.
/quit -> leaves the chat
/query <nick> -> opens the query windows with concrete nickname
/away -> marks you as being away. It is shown in the /whois informations about you. When you come back to your keyboard, you can type /away again and you will not be longer marked as away.
/away <text> -> you can also to the /away command write the reason, why you are away. Use it only when you leave your keyboard.
/part -> leaves actual channel, but you will stay connected to server, so /join command is useable.
For advanced users:
You can also connect via any IRC client.
Here are parameters how to do it:
Port: 6667 , 6697 (SSL)
You will be automatically joined to the channel #chat. Of course, you can leave this channel and join another one if you use the /join <channel> command.
